The easy way to explore the waters of Cold Lake is with Hamilton House Fishing Tours. The easy way to have a great stay in the area is to book a room at Hamilton House Bed & Breakfast Inn. The inn is in Cherry Grove, about 13 km (8 mi) southeast of the lake. It’s a charming spot that offers well-appointed rooms and serviced RV sites. There’s a large deck and hot tub if you want to relax. If you want to explore, you can hit the hiking and biking trails or rent a canoe to paddle a small, nearby lake. Of course, the big attraction is the fishing. Hamilton House has two boats that can accommodate three and four adults. Snacks are supplied on half-day charters. A full meal is served on full-day charters. Cold Lake is famous for its lake trout, which are generally biting from June to mid-September. Early spring is also good for pike and walleye.
